I managed a mom n pop pizza place in the '00s. I never fired the soft people (we didn't have the sjw label back then), I just gave them the onerous jobs and rode their asses until they quit. It was usually a brief employment, but I did find a few diamonds in the rough that way. Lovely people, still great friends today.
