Problem with that, is that many people who try to shoot themselves in the head and a suicide attempt are not successful. There are many people who’ve had to have Face transplants who survived trying to shoot themselves in the head. Would not recommend ever trying to kill yourself with a gun! But on the other hand, if it was a liberal, I wouldn’t feel bad for them to have to live after that! I’ve read articles and watched documentaries on this it’s completely fucked up. Especially for the family plus to take care of these people
I'll be honest. Taking a rifle class at my college, and the professor says the class is a Life Skills class, not just a class. Yesterday was first range day. I didn't know how to load the mag, but after looking at the ammunition and how the magazin fit I was able to figure out how to load it.
Need to learn how to shoot left handed though as it turns out I'm cross dominant. (Right hand is dominant hand but left eye is dominant eye)
I'm in the same boat as you: right-handed, left eye dominant.
You can teach yourself to shoot non-dominant, or just shoot using your dominant, which I do with rifles and pistols.
I can print 2" groups at 7 yards with .40 S&W non-dominant. I have to re-focus for a sec, then I am tuned in non-dminant. It is a pain and takes some conscious effort, but is very doable with a pistol.
Rifle doesn't matter for me. I shoot right-handed and have a best .35 MOA with 147gr Hornady factory 6.5 CM Match ammo.
I've always shot right-handed with a rifle and have always been a good/better than avg shot this way.
That sucks pede, worst type of cross dominance to have in a right handed world. I'm left handed but right eye dominant, so I just shoot right handed. You can do it though, figure out what works for you and don't let it stop you
Spez: sounds like you have a good excuse to train shooting with both eyes open, which is the better way to do it anyway it just takes getting used to

My wife was right-handed, left-eye dominant. Expert pistol shot. Long gun iron sights did not work for her.
This is where red dot sights can be a game changer. Try one.
Love red dots, but for me there is a sizable amount of diminishing returns past 150-ish yards.
I was a great shot with irons as a kid, and I'm pretty sure in my late 30s my dominant eye switched.
Had 20/10 vision up until then, but all went to shit after years of staring at computer screens.
