At this point canceling is getting ridiculous. I've cancelled prime, netflix, CBS. I've stopped shopping at Walmart.
After these cancel trends run their two week course we find we slashed ratings by 10% or profit margins by 10% but enough damage hasn't been done done even make these giants flinch.
Disney is by far the most massive of companies that even if 20% of their subscribers cancelled Disney + they would simply continue on with life. Meabwhile I have literally removed EVERY source of kids streaming content from my house to make a point. My kids lose the magic schoolbus and pj mask because I'm being a hard-core canceller? Meanwhile we can't even get pedes to stop posting Twitter links here!
I would say that with still maintaining a Twitter account you at least are able to disseminate good info to other people. So there is a benefit there.
Fact of reality is companies like Disney and Twitter will exist unless they lose like 40-50% of their customers. Look at the newspapers who are failing, rich guys like Soros just come along and give them $50million.
Democrats are unpopular. Newspapers are unpopular. Doesn't matter, the elite billionaires will shove it down your throat anyways.
I still shop at Walmart every now and then but other than that try to stop giving money to globalist companies.
I'd also recommend people to buy old xboxes, xbox 360's super nintendo's used, have your kids play those if they absolutely need video games. Old PC games you can just download.
There's plenty out there, just be sure to use a VPN or at least a torrent proxy. Make sure the VPN allows for speedy torrenting. Some cheaper/free VPNs don't allow for torrenting. I use a private service that iirc was invite only and is full. Pirate Bay is pretty busy but there's a problem with the seed/leech numbers so it's kinda hit or miss. Torrentfreak dot com has a lot of news and info regarding torrenting.
People here are hypocrites if they pretend that they're canceling everything they claim to be. The super bowl memes alone show that too many are still watching football and we're no different from the dummies virtue signaling on twitter if we come on .win to complain but then turn on netflix and grab the popcorn.
If there is an alternative then fine, boycott one and give your money to the other. There is no disney+ alternative for those that use it. The best we can do is have one foot out the door and be ready to leave when something for conservatives actually exists. Even then, how many have actually watched Run Hide Fight? There's hatred for Shapiro because he isn't 100% pro Trump, but I'm telling you that if we boycott every little thing that doesn't bleed orange then we're going to be alone in this fight. Be realistic.
Exactly. I even signed up on Pureflix to give my kids some alternative content. But the library is trash and for $15 a month we cancelled it.
I've literally attached a 2 tb hard drive to our TV and have been filling it with kids shows. But at that point it's a hard drive browsing gui. It's garbage. No thumbnails and a folder structure that is harder to navigate. Their getting used to it but me explaining why I shut everything off they were used to, and why dad has gone to DC five times with flags this year is getting tiring to answer. Especially when so many on this site are still posting and using that God forsaken Twitter platform.
Fren. You need plex. I have a kids account set up and they only get “G” rated stuff. The dad shows need a password. I host my content on my pc and most smart tvs can get the plex app.
I actually have a plex account set up like you do. Kids account etc. But Comcast just limited all accounts bandwidth so my kids can't stream all day so I had to move everything to hard drives.
I would think your children's lives and future are more important that whether or not the rest of the crowd has the principles to stand for what they believe in?
I didn't ditch the streaming services and switch to personally curated content for thedonald, I did it for my kids.
Every week there is a pin about canceling something that I stopped using years ago. Oh well, I had principles that superseded convenience long before I found thedonald and I'll have principles long after it's nuked from the face of the xernet.
It's harder when you live with other people. For example, I have a wife, two kids, and a father-in-law. They all voted for Trump, but my father-in-law is obsessed with sports and my wife is obsessed with Disney (she loves that big, literally black, mouse cock).
I live in the KC area, and we went to my sister-in-law's house for a Super Bowl party. I personally don't give a shit about the communist NFL, so used it as an opportunity to talk about Trump, heckle Biden, and root for Brady while eating nachos. I would have preferred to do something else, but it's not always practical to start WW3 (yet).
You have a point, but boycotting is basically pointless anyway (in a post-Bush bailout world.)
We are not the customer anymore. For at least a decades, Big Business has understood that they can become "too big to fail." At that moment, we stopped being the customer. Government subsidy/bailout money is now the customer.
I hear you. I absolutely hear you. All I can do is present the sad facts to my wife and we make decisions together. She is not going to like canceling Elsa, lol. But seriously, so many girls grew up with Disney princesses only to experience heartbreak. (Reality). So good luck to all the other dads that have to tackle this crap. We are the gatekeepers. We, the dads, decide what gets imported to the home. But it's not a decision made in a vacuum.
I feel you man, but as they get more and more bold we have to hope more people wake up and they lose bigger and bigger chunks of their audience. I guarantee you pro sports and taking a notice of how wokeism has impacted their viewership #'s.

I torrent older shows for my kids so fuck them.
I've built a very large hard drive but i dont have everything yet.
My point is that even people on here won't cancel their Twitter accounts who STOLE the election but then upvote to cancel disney who fired someone.

Anyone still using Twitter that supports Trump is just a moron. What can ya say?
Whats your favorite torrent site?
1337x
Rarbg is good too for movies/shows
That's the site I use too.

You can just remove the torrent after the files are downloaded and that way your ISP will never find it on your computer.
you mean disney or your kids?

Plex.
I used plex for two years. Its nice but it really chews up the bandwidth in the house.

Just compliment Elsa, and then she is removed out of Jealosy.
Check out your local library. Mine has more dvds than Netflix and Disney/Hollywood doesn't get money when you borrow.
They may be in a worse situation than you think... parks and cruise ships have been shut for almost a year, and is waaaaay too expensive for most.
