There's plenty out there, just be sure to use a VPN or at least a torrent proxy. Make sure the VPN allows for speedy torrenting. Some cheaper/free VPNs don't allow for torrenting. I use a private service that iirc was invite only and is full. Pirate Bay is pretty busy but there's a problem with the seed/leech numbers so it's kinda hit or miss. Torrentfreak dot com has a lot of news and info regarding torrenting.
Well, that would depend if it's a public tracker that some anti-piracy org is camped out on. They pick up your ip from the swarm and send a nastygram to you via your isp.

You can just remove the torrent after the files are downloaded and that way your ISP will never find it on your computer.
