Would you be happy if a London burgh hosted a yearly festival that drove rent and cost of living up, was mostly scottish companies that set up temporary shop and paid all their tax on that festival to scotland who then sent england 8% of that later? You're wrong on so many counts about me. I have zero interest in any form of soccer which is why I'm replying to a post about RUGBY ! I only played the game for 20+ years, not at a high level admittedly, but the whole point of rugby is to socialise with the opponent you've been knocking hell out of for 80 minutes. Unlike soccer where the idea seems to be get drunk and fight with anyone in the vicinity. On that point the Scottish national team have a very good record - but that could be because they haven't qualified for a major tournament since the days of black and white television.
The Irish rugby team includes players from Northern Ireland - the bit that is in the UK. There are people from all four countries that are proud to identify as British, since their passport will identify them as such.
Membership of the EU is no longer an issue - we left.
It's my understanding that the Scottish football leagues only have players with very basic skills, which makes TV deals very hard to obtain. Much like women's sports really.
As I said, I'm British therefore I am interested in the well being and financial stability of all Countries of the UK - the only thing that pisses me off is the political classes attempts to divide and control my Country.
