Bit miss leading. They aren't banned, their accounts or locked down, but yeah, either way they are censoring again.

Idgaf if u expose social media

Everyone already knows it's happening.. Mark Zuckerberg is very open about it.. the problem is that conservatives are mostly Boomers and because they're mostly Boomers they are lazy and cowards.. they won't do a damn thing about itt

"Start your own $3 trillion Facebook!""

No. Fix THIS facebook u idiots

they need government regulation. The government exists for when a corporation gets so big that it can actually harm america. the government exists as the only entity that can take on giant corporations.. but conservatives have been trained since birth to oppose that idea..

I dont identify as republican or Conservative. Im a trump patriot party memberr

I'm tired of this bullshit. I want people that will do something about it instead of complaining. When Democrats get power they do stuff. When conservatives get power they complain..

I want people who will regulate facebook. I want people who will take action and have the government prevent Facebook from doing it. I don't want Facebook to be able to control the media. and if you do want that because of some pro corporate bullshit you were fed by the Koch brothers then fuck your ideology its bad for Americaa

No. Fix THIS facebook u idiots

Better idea - how about encouraging them to use one of a growing pile of alt tech social websites that have already put in the money, sweat, and time? MeWe, Minds, Gab, HERE, Bitchute, Rumble, Odysee, etc etc etc.

If my 75-year-old mother and her friends can bounce from FB to Gab without missing a beat, I'm pretty sure that most other boomers can do so just as easily. You just have to point out where they can go and help them get there.

SordidPontification 20 points ago +20 / -0

What we needed was legislative relief to prohibit banks, payment processors, hosting providers, etc., from deplatforming entire business just because they committed the cardinal sin of wrongthink.

It's a bit difficult to foster competition when the entire infrastructure can be ripped out from under you just because a dozen libtards started screaming madly on Twatter.

Realistically, what we need to see are massive fines directed especially to banks and payment processors for canceling merchant accounts for no other reason than "you might hurt our feelings for saying mean things." They claim it's because of their risk assessment; that such accounts are more likely to see chargebacks. Which, I suppose, has happened before with libtards signing up and then issuing a chargeback specifically to harm the company. But, I think that could be dealt with as well; if chargebacks are used as a weapon, and it can be demonstrated, then the people issuing them should be fined the amount of the service they were purchasing plus an additional fee.

The reality is that the entire system is deliberately designed from one end to the other to prevent the growth of small tech startups. We should have seen legislation sometime in the last 4 years to limit the effects of cancel culture, but because the GOP is in bed with the same corrupt tech-authoritarians the left is, we'll likely never see a solution.

In the meantime, you're absolutely right. We MUST support alt tech where possible, but it's an uphill battle and a lot of people aren't willing to forgo the inconveniences of having to, e.g., mail checks to Gab. We do need to take a stand, here, and now. But it's not going to be easy.

This one surprised me. I know we live in clown world, but I was shocked when they killed Alex Jones they way they did. Doesn’t anyone ever think about the future of what they have done?

-1
Hshsvsvsvsv -1 points ago +1 / -2

I mean this is what I'm talking about.. the only solution you propose is to make your own tiny little website for a handful of trump supporters while everybody else still uses facebook.. you're never going to win that way..

3
MAGANYficent 3 points ago +3 / -0

This is why digital currencies continue to raise in value.

1
Hshsvsvsvsv 1 point ago +2 / -1

If it was a solution- then why does the problem still exist?

9
bloviatingwobbegong 9 points ago +9 / -0

At some point soon, there will be no conservative content on Facebook or Twitter. Hopefully, people will wake up and realize that they need to get off those sites.

3
MehNahMehNah 3 points ago +3 / -0

True. Stop feeding the beast and it cannibalizes itself.

-12
Hshsvsvsvsv -12 points ago +1 / -13

Why would i? The majority of the world is not conservative..

so why would they care? They're not going to abandon a website that they like very much just because you're mad at it LOL the world does not revolve around yo

a consistent theme around about conservatism is that they believe that they are the most important thing in the world. And that the world is supposed to count how to whatever you want..

The largest group of people voting in America are the independent.. they don't subscribe to either ideology. after that liberals and conservatives are almost tied so when you do the math conservatives are the minority. There's far more non-conservatives than conservatives.. they don't give a shit if you're banned from facebook. They're not moving to a conservative website just because you are mad at Facebook..

2
bloviatingwobbegong 2 points ago +2 / -0

I didn't say YOU would care. Why are you even here?

4
Granny_git_yer_gun 4 points ago +4 / -0

You're damn right! I'm sick and tired of people blaming boomers for all their ills. We are ALL guilty of complacency. My generation are now grand and great-grandgrandparents. This falls on All of us, not just the old ones. The time for finger-pointing has been over for quite some time.

that why President Trump recognized it as a massive threat to freedoms

-1
Hshsvsvsvsv -1 points ago +3 / -4

no.. that's just something Libertarians say because they need to blame everything on government in order to justify their anti-government tax cuts for the rich..

If government disbanded by the end of the week that would not change a single thing about what Facebook did or does.. the reason the problem existed was because the government wasn't interfering enough.. Facebook had too much freedom to ban whatever they want..

Man has a point, I am not lazy by any means. I work every day and pay my bills and go to friends house to help them when they need it.. just not lazy in general...but my dad at 67 years old (Boomer by definition) has me beat. That generation works harder without complaining more than any other generation I have seen. I find myself making excuses for not going the extra mile. I will do my job every day, but not go the extra...My dad went the extra all the time, and not only that he asked for more! Asking his job for more OT not because he needed the money, his logic was work Overtime while you can when you're young because there is going to be a time when you're old and you can't!!

If you are a Boomer, hats off to you my friend!!

4
SteelDriver 4 points ago +4 / -0

I'm sure part of it is that older people are less likely to use a lot of this technology in the first place.

I don't know what you do to fix this, other than creating alternatives.

Eventually (maybe not in my lifetime though), someone will invent the 'longer lasting light bulb' that will castrate Twitter and Facebook. If history is any indication, however, my guess is that replacement will be even more collectivist/totalitarian than the existing platforms.

1

"Create alt account" works for a normal person with 10 followers.

It doesn't work for someone who's trying to build a media presence (like Project Veritas).

That's why, if you're serious, you shouldn't try to build an online presence on a platform controlled by someone else (Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, etc.). You're promoting their brand instead of your own. They can steal your audience by banning you and then you have no recourse.

Even if he sues his way to Twitter freedom....he should still be using Alt tech. People like James need to LEAD others to off big tech. This attitude of "slogging it out" on these satanic platforms has been our worst mistake. We should have been building alternate means of communication on Day 1 after the Alex Jones ban.

It's about reliability, scaling, and DDoS protection.

Even Patriots.win must rely on Cloudflare for DDoS. Cloudflare might have better principles than Amazon, but you must rely on someone, or your site is a trivial target to take down using DDoS. The only way to defend against DDoS is multiple data centers.

Parler now uses a Russian service (DDoS-Guard) and has been criticized for it. The DDoS protection service that you use, you must give them your site's TLS/SSL private keys. The service can impersonate your site and gets access to ALL of the traffic, in plaintext.

This is why we need someone like Torba to build a version of Cloudflare, and a lite version of AWS - even if just VM instances.

The alternative would be services based on peer-to-peer protocols. But web browsers do not speak peer-to-peer protocols, so those require installing apps. As soon as your service needs an app, Google and Apple will ban it, and people are reluctant to install on PCs.

3
HeavyVetting 3 points ago +3 / -0

Brave has IPFS support now, it's a start at least.

2
Overkillengine 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is one of the reasons why I tell people that I say that the people histrionically screaming for action and plans here are either blithering retards or glowies.

Never transmit sensitive intel over enemy infrastructure if you can help it.

2
IslamIsEvil 2 points ago +2 / -0

Except for IPv6. AWS is stuck in old IPv4 NAT-centric thinking. You can't really function in AWS without IPv4, sadly. But these days you shouldn't need IPv4 for anything except for public services/endpoints that should be dual stacked IPv4/IPv6.

2

1

Including the federal government. Idiots.

2
kwqt 2 points ago +2 / -0

AWS isn't the problem, you can simply run stuff on your own servers.

But Cloudflare / ddos protection isn't as easily done yourself. Infact, its impossible to do it yourself.

1
pinchitony 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is rather easy if you get some capital. Just go to a data center and sign a good old solid contract, the plug in your server.

He has the ability to do this now what he couldn't as sitting President. We lost the 2020 election battle, the War is still on. We've been holding the line, ready for a push forward to take ground.

3
JS_Mill 3 points ago +3 / -0

If he does do this, it will immediately be wildly successful with all conservatives. This will be the first huge barrier any social media start up faces, immediate large following. Once that happens more people will feel easier with dropping facebook, etc to this new place without Big Brother meddling. After that, money will follow and old tech will either adapt to compete or die.

A problem is that phones come with Twiiter and Facebook pre-installed. (And not only that, but you cannot uninstall Facebook on most Android phones.) So they automatically stick Twitter up your ass.)

5
ObviatingTyranny 5 points ago +5 / -0

Nonsense you can uninstall all of it. You also don't have to use it, and you can shut down all permissions. There's no excuse for being on Twitter or Facebook.

1
DZP1 1 point ago +2 / -1

On Samsung phones you cannot uninstall them, you can only 'disable' them. And Internet search will back me on this statement. Worse, the Facebook application stays active hidden in background monitoring you and sending data regardless of permission setting! I examined this on a new phone. Found WiFi data usage even when disabled and permission off. True 1984 level of creepy.

1
TrumpingTheStorm 1 point ago +2 / -1

This is true, but you can jailbreak your phone and completely uninstall them both.

2
DZP1 2 points ago +2 / -0

The average person is not very good at that if they aren't a techie, so the thing is, the majority of people just don't bother. If they're not Android or Linux knowledgeable they can brick the phone. On the other hand, I have no problem with a liberal bricking her phone :)

1
ObviatingTyranny 1 point ago +1 / -0

I have a newer Samsung and I have none of this installed.

Still, disable them if you can't figure it out. Never use them.

3
DZP1 3 points ago +3 / -0

My A10 was shipped to me two weeks ago and it was loaded with bloatware like this. I spent time trying to uninstall unwanted apps that eat data services, found many discussions the net identifying how mfrs stick you with these apps then block easy removal. So that's where I am coming from.

2
ObviatingTyranny 2 points ago +2 / -0

It ain't easy. You can get all of it out or disable it with enough work though.

I hated bloatware before I became politically aware. Hate how it slows everything down and causes issues. Now that I know about what tech is and has become, I find it completely intolerable.

Surprisingly, they lasted as long as they did. O'Keef was exposing all of them. He giot a broad in Texas arrested and charged with the voter fraud she was bluntantly committing. He has other avenues. That's the problem with these big teck's, they are not the only media outlets availible.

The so called “tolerant” left seems hell-bent on living in their own little bubble, with zero dialogue, discussion, or interaction among anyone who even remotely deviates or questions the narrative/agenda

I'm surprised it took that long. He barged into an internal executive meeting and told them he had them on tape for months.

One of his video's disclosed someone's house number, not any other part of the address though. I think he should just blur it out and repost the video. At least that should get him out of Twitter jail.
