I have similar feelings, and had similar status ten years ago. Made career changes to get away from that.

I want pre-2000, and preferably pre-1970 levels of security. Then maybe I will consider flying again.

What I would really love to see is harmonization of regulations for commercial airlines and private jets. Let the elites stop opting out of the system and it would change. Same pipe dream as making Congress get the same health care our servicemen get.
