We did. They ignored it, and we ignored the fact that they ignored it. For decades.

They didn't seize power when this pandemic started. The pandemic is just the first time we've noticed them using it in large numbers.

Their methods in the past have been slower. Twist the economy, get people to think they are following along willingly. Look how many people owned their own business 100 or 150 years ago vs today. Or owned their land free and clear.

We talk about being canceled, or fired, or denied banking services. Think about that for a minute. How did we get to the point where a majority of us needed to care about that? Where nearly everyone is in debt almost their whole lives, dependent on cash payments for every single need.

"You will own nothing and you will be happy". That phrase scares us, but our great great grandparents would be confused by our fear. They'd rightly point out that we've been living that way for years.
