Fellow pede, here. I work for an airline.

Perhaps I misunderstand your comment. Why do you want us--and thereby me and my family--to go broke?

Assuming I understand your "go broke" comment correctly--consider it from our side--the tyrants in charge force us to follow BS requirements while serving our customers. They don't actually make anyone safer--they just look and feel good to the a-holes that shove them down our throat.

And--on top of that--even if we lose money (which we all are, every day--tens of millions of dollars), we also are required to keep flying our planes, because if we don't, we get stuck with all kinds of red tape, fines, and re-qualification from the FAA. And that's on top of everything else.

Who do you think likes it better--you (the customer) or us? Speaking for myself (and everyone else on my team) we HATE all of these requirements. It breaks our heart to have to be in the middle of this. Hell--most of us just want to PHYSICALLY GO TO WORK. I haven't been permitted to go to work since March of last year!

Biden's currently trying to push us to have mandatory COVID testing of all of our customers before they get on board. Do you think that helps us? Do you think we want that? Do you think that wins us more customers? No way! We're mad as hell and screaming it from the rooftops!

Instead of fighting us, fight like hell for the government to stay the hell out of our business. We just want to be the ones to help you get from point A to point B happily and safely.

If the all Airline CEOs would band together and tell the Feds to shove it, there would be no restrictions. If the airline controllers would tell the Feds to shove it, that would be it. No air traffic controllers, no air traffic aside from small private planes using visual flight only. Do you really think a paying customer will spend his hard earned cash to be treated like a piece of cattle to get "safely and quickly" from A to B? Still too many do and the government might bail them out for a while. Let's see for how long.....

Did they pay you for not being able to go to work, or if not, why do you still consider working for them?

While I'd LOVE to see that (or, anyone tell Biden to shove it for any reason), realistically not all airlines would do that. But still--even if they did tell the feds to shove it... they simply turn around and issue us HUGE fines.

That brings me to my second point. Airlines have taken money from the government (including mine)--but that's in no way a "bailout." It's a pittance that the federal government has given us for operating at a huge loss daily, as they require us to. All while the government (federal, and many state / local governments as well) has gone out of their way to do everything they can to scare our customers off. Special thanks to the MSM for that, also.

Any company, of any sort--an airline or otherwise--that treat their customers like cattle should go out of business. I'm proud of my company for our great attempts to not do this. I've personally heard our flight attendants complain about not being able to go around the cabin and interact with customers because their job has become a lot more boring. They miss the interaction.

And yes, I'm still working, but remotely. My employer has been great and very flexible with me--and as of now I have ZERO complaints about my company and our executive team. They are amazing. My job is VERY hard to do remotely, and I desperately want (and need) to go back to work in person.

The local government here (i.e. - local government) has been notably bad with their COVID BS and I think a lot of the remote work that we've done has been us picking our battles (wisely, in my opinion) to minimize our losses.
