The scam they pull at the community college a friend of mine teaches at is, get the loans and pay for tuition etc, then drop out in the first week for the refunds with zero intentions of paying the loans back.
I used to do that. I'd enroll full time, pay the tuition, send the paperwork to my parents so that I could be a dependent on their insurance plan, then drop half my classes for a refund.
