I'm in Tampa (near Oldsmar). It's definitely a mixed bag politically. My guess is that east Tadmpa tends to be more blue. My congressman is Kathy Castor and she's terrible. Tampa has issues....be prepared for a 20% increase in electricity soon due to 'Green" policies by Tampa electric.

I'm in NYC but I've been looking at West Virginia. The house prices for what you get are insane compared to what I'm used to. I almost fell over when I saw how low the property tax was compared to NYC.
Not sure I can find work doing what I do in NYC but at this point I'm ready to change careers to get the heck out of NYC. I'm tired of being surrounded by democrats and considering what Cuomo and De Blasio turned this city into, it's not gonna recover to what it was.

We were paying $27,000 a year in property tax, now live in a gated community with $2000 assessments and property tax for 6000 sq fr house and 3.4 acres is $1100. People are great, hard to get to know in the beginning but good people. Worth it all the way.
