Now get rid of Romney

30
Chopblock 30 points ago +32 / -2

Romney was installed in a Proto-Biden way (with less dependence on machines).

Utah is often used as a ‘testbed’ marketplace to roll out new consumer products, as they are a relatively small market but highly inundated with sophisticated media, and the inhabitants are culturally deferential to authority, highly-educated low-information types, and naively conformist (i.e. when the TV tells them to do something with enough “authority”, they’ll do it along with all their friends, so you can get a lot of people to try your widget with a relatively small advertising budget, and then work out the most effective commercial messaging before you try to roll it out in the bigger cities)

Conservatives in that state tried to block him at the caucus level, but he just bypassed it and the media sold Romney like some as seen on TV! “honorable” guy.

15
Aoikaze2000 15 points ago +24 / -9

tl;dr: Utah works as a commercial testbed because it's a Mormon theocracy masquerading as a state.

3
Chopblock 3 points ago +11 / -8

Theocracies are committed to their religion— Mormons sacrificed their temples and church services on the alter of the new religion, Covid. And they traded most of their dogma for tax-free real-estate and financial leverage, and that sweet sweet government immigrant resettlement services cheese. And I heard they made their meetinghouses ‘2nd Amendment free zones’ even before that,

-3
ApplesAndCheese -3 points ago +10 / -13

Amen!!! I’ve been saying this to everyone here. The kool-aid is strong though. Stupid theocracies are so damn corrupt. A quick dig into the mormon corporation and it’s 34 billion dollars in liquid assets should raise anyone’s eyebrows but they don’t even twitch at that news. Feels bad man when your family & friends are in a cult.

8
Husky 8 points ago +9 / -1

At least they're breeding preppers lol

5
HeyChubbyGoEat 5 points ago +11 / -6

Fuck you we aren’t a cult.

We some based patriots... fafo.

1
PineT3 1 point ago +4 / -3

Please read the Articles Of Faith (and preferably the Book Of Mormon) before discussing corruption in the church.

  1. We are warned, repeatedly, of what happens when individuals and leaders in the church become deceived. We are warned, explicitly, that the "very elect" (read: leaders & role models) will be led astray.

  2. We are warned, repeatedly, that no mortal on this earth is to be relied upon, and that ALL revelation needs to be verified directly by ones personal connection to God. "Blind" faith is actively discouraged.

Instead of judging the church based on the people who flagrantly ignore the teachings and warnings in the Book Of Mormon, I would much rather you judge the church based on the people who are making an honest attempt at living the gospel.

1
Marzieattaks 1 point ago +2 / -1

ALL religions have criminals trying to ruin it for the majority. I'm not Mormon and I DO NOT tolerate or agree with others criticizing and mocking your beliefs and choice of religion. If they are true Patriots they support the liberties and freedom of religion in this country. Otherwise they should go to Twitter where hateful remarks are acceptable.

ApplesAndCheese 0 points ago +3 / -3

Lol. Been there done that. Hell even preached it for a year and a half. Now you read my recommendation- The CES letter. You have blinders on Try taking ‘em off.

5
pente1776 5 points ago +5 / -0

As proof we all make mistakes, there was a time when I like Romney.

Now when I email his senate office I start with,

Dear Pierre,

....

-1
ApplesAndCheese -1 points ago +7 / -8

This pede speaks truth! There’s a reason pyramid schemes thrive here. It’s a state of deferential sheeple. Nice sheeple for the most part but definitely useful idiots badgered into compliance by their leaders. The religion demands absolute adherence (source: am exmormon)

14
CisSiberianOrchestra 14 points ago +15 / -1

Unless he resigns, that will have to wait until 2024. Utah's state constitution doesn't have a method for recalling senators.

12
Skyrison 12 points ago +13 / -1

nah. declare him null and void. we can now do w/e the fuck we want. tell him to go shovel shit

8
Leatherwood 8 points ago +8 / -0

ROMNEY COULD BE CHARGED AND PROSECUTED FOR CRIMES THAT HE HAS COMMITTED. THAT WOULD GET RID OF HIM. SEEMS LIKE A SOUND PLAN.

5
FireannDireach 5 points ago +5 / -0

No states do. The only way to get rid of a Senator is if the Senate expels them.

4
sully 4 points ago +4 / -0

Thats what Amendments are for. Not familiar with Utah's legislation much, but I'm sure they could pass an Amendment and get rid of Romney as soon as they wanted to. Where there is a will, there is a way.

1
glow-operator-2-0 1 point ago +1 / -0

They should introduce a law to do recalls

11
TheFozz 11 points ago +11 / -0

Salt Lake County uses Dominion, he ain't going nowhere until they ditch that Bullshit.

4
BlaineBug 4 points ago +4 / -0

Does Utah use Dominion or has Romney actually legitimately won forever?

7
polish_snausage 7 points ago +7 / -0

Yes they do, so does NY... Cuomo us a fraud too

2
Chainsaw 2 points ago +5 / -3

Romney did have the support of "The Church" That's even worse than Dominion

3
apartment5A 3 points ago +5 / -2

"The Church" does not throw its support behind candidates. Low-information voters unfortunately elect losers. Very easy to soak up information via osmosis and say "hey he's like me (or so they think) so I'll vote for him" or "hey I remember Romney he seems like a nice guy with slick hair so I'll vote for him" or "hey he's Republican so I'll vote for him."

3
Chainsaw 3 points ago +3 / -0

Exactly. Hence the quotation "the church" Nailed it. "Hey, he's like me" The other problem is most of them are glued to MSM. God dammed sheep I'll tell ya.

1
PineT3 1 point ago +3 / -2

You'd be surprised how many church members despise Romney. I would not be surprised if he was elected fraudulently.

As for the actual church leadership, they do not endorse candidates on any side. The one exception I can think of is that one time where both candidates wanted to lynch and kill churchmembers, so we voted third party in protest, but that's about it.

The LDS religion is based. we believe the battle between freedom and communism started in the preexistence. Christ's plan vs. Lucifer's plan.

14
TheFozz 14 points ago +15 / -1

The Book of Mormon constantly talks about Secret Societies who infiltrated the government and did the most abhorrent, evil things.

Hmmmm, sounds like a perfect message for our day.

I was raised LDS, technically still am but I don't go unless my kids want to. I think the church has some corruption in it that needs to be rooted out.

11
JohnScott 11 points ago +12 / -1

They absolutely do, but be part of the solution. Church HQ and BYU have been infiltrated by Commies just like every other institution in America.

10
TheFozz 10 points ago +11 / -1

A lot of Mormons are becoming brainwashed fuck-tard commies. Half of my wife's family is devout LDS and firmly behind the BLM bullshit. Wife and I are MAGA and they think we're nuts.

Luckily MY whole fucking family is based, cousins included. We know what's up.

10
segmentation_fault 10 points ago +10 / -0

I'm Mormon and I absolutely hate leftist dumbshit Mormons. I hate them more than anything. Absolutely despise them. Worse than other leftists. I think you're Mormoning wrong if you're a leftist.

3
bananaguard62 3 points ago +3 / -0

Ha ha. Exactly though. Like, did they read the book because it's literally the opposite of what they are advocating for.

2
TheFozz 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh man I shake my head so much at the SJW's in my wife's family. Half of them are Democrat BLM loving idiots, the other half are MAGA.

My sister in law doesn't think Child Trafficking is that big of a problem, she thinks 'Q Tards' are blowing it up to be bigger than it really is....No, You're a fucking moron woman.

Another thing that bugs me about mormon culture is when people are raised LDS and then suddenly decide they don't want to be part of the church anymore, they IMMEDIATELY become politically Liberal to rebel against their upbringing. They're so fucking stupid! We GoTta bE LibErAl BecAuSe iT's TrEnDy!!!

8
bananaguard62 8 points ago +8 / -0

Agreed. But even here in Seattle the overwhelming majority in our ward are freedom living patriots with their common sense intact.

They talk about those guys you mention in the scriptures too:

Helaman6:

37 And it came to pass that the Lamanites did hunt the band of robbers of Gadianton; and they did preach the word of God among the more wicked part of them, insomuch that this band of robbers was utterly destroyed from among the Lamanites.

38 And it came to pass on the other hand, that the Nephites did build them up and support them, beginning at the more wicked part of them, until they had overspread all the land of the Nephites, and had seduced the more part of the righteous until they had come down to believe in their works and partake of their spoils, and to join with them in their secret murders and combinations.

3
TheFozz 3 points ago +3 / -0

Oh I agree the SJW Mormons are in the minority, but they're a growing segment. I just hope they don't get too big.

1
bananaguard62 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm afraid they will. If we see what happened to the Nephites and how the Gadianton Robbers were able to draw away much of the righteous, that is what I'm seeing in the church now.

1
segmentation_fault 1 point ago +1 / -0

Leadership has to be willing to tell these people they're wrong. For whatever reason most aren't willing to do that. I think a lot are worried the SJWs will leave the church, but I definitely think that would be the best thing that could happen.

6
JohnScott 6 points ago +6 / -0

I feel you. It's been disheartening seeing so many of the faithful be led astray by Satan. I just want Jesus to come back already.

5
TheCandorist 5 points ago +5 / -0

Maybe they should read more about the Lamanites in the book of Nephi

4
Marzieattaks 4 points ago +4 / -0

So true. Organized religions are susceptible to their own deep state. The majority are good people who strive for a better life and world. In my church there are libtards too. And Dems with TDS. Just as families are also divided. This is their plan to divide us.

7
bananaguard62 7 points ago +8 / -1

In Helaman 7:4 And seeing the people in a state of such awful wickedness, and those Gadianton robbers filling the judgment-seats—having usurped the power and authority of the land; laying aside the commandments of God, and not in the least aright before him; doing no justice unto the children of men;

5 Condemning the righteous because of their righteousness; letting the guilty and the wicked go unpunished because of their money; and moreover to be held in office at the head of government, to rule and do according to their wills, that they might get gain and glory of the world, and, moreover, that they might the more easily commit adultery, and steal, and kill, and do according to their own wills.

14
entwickelnden 14 points ago +15 / -1

. Christ's plan vs. Lucifer's plan.

I'd say thats a fair description, carry on LDS.

3
PineT3 3 points ago +3 / -0

Lucifers plan: EVERYBODY wins! EVERYBODY gets immortality and eternal happiness! NOBODY goes to hell! Oh, but give Lucifer all the power first.

Communism: EVERYBODY wins! EVERYBODY gets a house, car, and living wage! NOBODY goes broke! Oh, but give the government all the power first.

Christ's plan: Follow God's plan

God's plan: Everyone gets a CHOICE. If you choose to try, even if you fail from time to time, Christ makes up for the slack. If you choose evil, Christ can't force you to be good. The people who choose good get to share everything God has, the people who choose evil lose everything.

3
bananaguard62 3 points ago +3 / -0

The simplicity of the plan is beautiful. Don't want to follow God? Fine, up to you, but that might suck. We respect everyone's agency as it is fundamental to our progression.

10
CisSiberianOrchestra 10 points ago +11 / -1

I was raised LDS but haven't been to church in years. I remember there was one church president who was very anti-communist. He wrote and spoke a lot about the evils of communism.

10
Boricua4Trump 10 points ago +10 / -0

That's Harold B. Lee.

9
JohnScott 9 points ago +9 / -0

And Benson.

8
bananaguard62 8 points ago +8 / -0

People here would love to hear those talks, actually. I've been tempted to post pieces but didn't want to get blowback for preaching. But whatever, they are awesome rants against the evils of communism and socialism.

4
Changed777 4 points ago +5 / -1

The credit goes to God's Word... The Bible... Not to any religion. You will find leftists in LDS and in every other religion. It's disgusting and Antichrist. Notice how many religious leaders are speaking out? Last I heard was John MacArthur and that's IT. Ppl need to DUMP their faith in their organized religion and get with God and that's it.

bananaguard62 3 points ago +3 / -0

He's Mormon, I'm Mormon... That's it. I think we trusted him to follow God and not be corruptable, but, like the book of Mormon says, all will be revealed. The church is made up of humans and humans are inherently flawed. That's sort of the plan. He uses his agency poorly either because he's flawed or corrupted and flawed; not sure which yet. Personally, I think he meant well but lines were drawn and he convinced himself he is in the right. He is deluded and lost in the mist of darkness.

F_D_Romanowski 20 points ago +20 / -0

Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, Wyoming and now Utah allow canceled carry without a permit for those who are wondering.

There are some notable red states missing from this list.

6
The_Gay_Deceiver 6 points ago +6 / -0

Ala-fucking-bama still hasn’t.

However our fucktard hick of a governor just extended the empirically very effect “””””mask mandate””””” to March, so that’s swell.

5
rogueking 5 points ago +5 / -0

South Carolina is missing because our state government is complete garbage. They can't do anything right. Drunk monkeys randomly signing bills placed in front of them would do better.

2
TrumpWonBigly2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's essentially Biden.

2
TrumpWonBigly2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

Maine surprises me, I thought all the northeast coast states were cucked.

2
F_D_Romanowski 2 points ago +2 / -0

Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. My guess is because of the small populations, outdoorsy types and no hood rats shooting each other.

8
sgttoporbottoms 8 points ago +8 / -0

Well shit, I guess you’ll never be able to take apart a gun to clean it

6
JimmyJam 6 points ago +6 / -0

there is a maintenance carveout - but if you just want to break your upper to show your buddy how a pivot pin works, you just committed a felony.

1
TrumpWonBigly2020 1 point ago +1 / -0

How would that even be enforceable? They'd never know if you built it or bought it.

2
JimmyJam 2 points ago +2 / -0

because it is designed to dry up the parts market in NY - it is also just more nonsense that walls in normal legal activity with felonies. Imagine if any other right was treated this way. You have free speech, but let's say we determine your protest is illegal because you filed your permits wrong, or someone on your picket line stopped to tie their shoe and blocked the sidewalk, you just committed a felony.

14
TheFozz 14 points ago +14 / -0

Utard here. Gov. Spencer Cox is still a Cock Sucking Anti-Trump BITCH!

FUCK HIM!!!

6
Threed-Zombies 6 points ago +6 / -0

I agree about Cox. We just moved to Utah from CA and I couldn’t believe the leftist crap Cox was spewing about education in his state of the state address

3
Sumarongi 3 points ago +3 / -0

Man Herbert was such a cuck to SL country with the mask mandate. No one wanted that shit. He reminded me of a big scared cat.

I have no confidence in Cox either.

Wasn’t Herbert also lieutenant Gov before he got his job? Man, Utards suck at picking their leaders. Literally ‘next in line’

6
TheFozz 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yeah Cox was LT. Governor. Our primary was rigged 100%, there's no way Romney legitimately beat Dr. Kennedy. And apparently a horde of leftards registered as republican to primary out the only Trump Supporter: Greg Hughes.

Wife and I still wrote Hughes in, and I don't wear a mask anywhere. I don't give a fuck anymore.

5

The legislature tried to pass it under our last governor, but he wouldn't sign it. The new governor surprisingly did follow through on his promise to sign it. I was expecting him to cuck out.

and you would not believe the level of denial I get into trying to explain that radiation is radiation, its all bad. There is going to be so much head cancer exploding in a few years here, if there isn't already.

I believe theres also talk about particles of plastic in the air and water now too. Lest we forget plastic is a petroleum product, and we all know how safe that is, right? /s

I should have said brain cancer, it sounds less uninformed. Germany is really up on the limiting cell phone radiation exposure topic, but a quick search showing conclusive links between heavy cell phone use and brain cancer is probably easy enough to find.

4
DannibusX 4 points ago +4 / -0

This is kind of unfortunate. The Utah permit is recognized in over half of the states. Having this one and a couple of others allows you to carry almost anywhere but the bluest states.

Happy to see constitutional carry though.

1
Sumarongi 1 point ago +1 / -0

Does this mean the permits are just thrown in the trash now? They were great for out of staters. Anyone could get one.

In this case its almost a step backward

1
papagiorgio-g 1 point ago +1 / -0

I wonder if they'll still issue CCW permits to out of staters. I think Idaho did that when they went constitutional carry. I've got a Utah permit also as an out of stater. Sure would hate to not be able to keep it. Allows for carry in a lot of states.

From what I've read, you can still obtain / renew a Utah concealed carry permit if you are out of state. Which is fortunate, since so many states reciprocate with the Utah permit.

You just don't have to have to have a a permit if you live in Utah or travel through the state.
