You’re right but I’m not sure why that’s considered cavalry. I guess because they can also shoot from the helicopter using vehicular weapons, but arguably it’s more like dragoons or a cavalry/dragoon hybrid.

Well, needless to say, words for old concepts like horse cavalry and dragoons don’t match up too well with modern operations since there are various combinations of fighting on “horseback” and using the “horses” for transport that get combined together.
