What I do know is that we are going to hell in a handbasket with Biden and Red states need to wake up and declare themselves Bill of Rights Sanctuary Cites NOW.
And not just second amendment, or first or any other number, ALL. They cannot fault states for going with ALL.
Further they need to get their AGs to declare ALL EOs illegal. Hell is coming and they need to be prepared.
"Bill of Rights" sanctuary cities! That's something attainable at the city and state level. It's do-able. Great idea! It does piss me off though to think we have to go this extra step to uphold the Constitution which is supposed to be the law of our land.
I really hope someone(s) in local govts pick up on it. It is the perfect "out" of this coup of a govt.
In a way, it is a really good and necessary "extra" step, people need to become more aware of the Bill, of what they owe to it, to say, "Damn it, these Rights are God given, NOT govt given and no one, and no govt can take them away."
Bringing attention to the entire Bill allows a State to stand on Holy Ground, the Constitution is lengthy, the language confusing to many, but the Bill, is short, to the point, makes perfect sense and is easy to understand and appreciate.
States should announce the decision, make it a focus of Town meetings, proclaim they will be celebrating it on the 4th, maybe have schools make the fact their state is now a Bill of Rights Sanctuary part of the curriculum.
They need to not only declare it, they need to OWN it.
How about bumper stickers; "My State is a Bill of Rights Sanctuary", toss in a flag and an eagle or two :)
Yeah! I'll have to research how to go about that. If California can tell federal immigration officials to fuck off and get away with it, then we have precedent established in law that should at a minimum cover our God-given rights.
Given no known arrests, given no military stepped up to the plate, she may have been using up her vacation days before retiring.
