According to a rabbi I know, FDR was an anti-Semite, but was the first user of the “useful aide” strategy. He got one rabbi to start singing his praises, which is why a mostly Republican Jewish population started to vote Democrat.

This strategy is extremely popular among the democrats wherein they advertise an aide that is of a certain community in order tog et that community to vote for them, while treating the aide like shit and actually hating the guts out of them. FDR was noted for anti-semitism
