This sounds good and all and it’s a thought we’ve had, but to sell our house, forfit a career and retirement all to put our hopes on the freedom in another state is too much for me. How long is Florida going to be the freedom state, as long as the gov is in power... then what?
I’ve had some local politicians as clients, (graphic design work), my school board had it’s president pass away from Covid so it’s been difficult to join and freely express my opinions, I am a republican poll worker, supervisor technically, but we all know that means shit, I donate to causes I find worthy, political and not. I’m not going to become a politician, I’m doing the best I can with what I have and can give, even going maskless in the grocery store is combative here, I do it, but it’s tiresome

Maybe participate in local govt first and if that's fruitless, consider upending your life for somewhere else.
