It's the Gulf of Mexico... there's no water flow, so the beaches are pretty shit.
You clearly have never been to Destin. The beaches of the panhandle and Gulf Shores are considered some of the best in the world.
Ah, the beaches on the great Oklahoma Sea.
I think of FL when I think of the panhandle.
