Automotive industry insider here - this is not accurate even slightly. Jeep IS NOT owned by the Chinese.
The way the Chinese auto market works is that if you want to have a plant there, you must be in a 50:50 joint venture with a Chinese company FOR THAT PLANT ONLY. All the manufacturers do this for their manufacturing presence in China, BMW has a JV with Brilliance, Ford is with Changan, Audi is with FAW, GM is with SAIC, all the big companies have similar arrangements. The 50:50 ownership only extends to in-region plants and any in-region employees, NOT the whole company. Don’t get me wrong, this is still fucked and there is a lot of intellectual property theft that is enabled by these JVs but there is no ownership or decision making influences. Your American built Jeeps bought by American customers have NOTHING to do with GAC.
Jeep however is a subsidiary of Sellantis, a newly formed corporation that is the merger of Fiat Chrysler and PSA (Italian-American-French). It is sad that the Italians have got involved, but its mainly on a money level, Jeep HQ and decision making still happens at Chrysler headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI, and has a HUGE manufacturing presence in Michigan and Ohio. Chrysler actually has a long history of mergers with axis powers, can’t forget DiamlerChrysler. But really, with the way the auto industry is now, Fiat Chrysler could have barely survived without this latest merger.
Tl;dr - this is not an accurate post. Jeep is not owned by the Chinese. Jeep (and everyone in the auto industry) has joint ventures set up for their operations within Chinese borders.
True. Big trucks are still very American. Stuff like the Ford Super Duty and Silverado HD, but those vehicles are not part of the survey. Stuff like the F150 is now down on this list because despite being made in 2 huge US plants employing thousands combined and having a vast majority of the big components made here, a bunch of smaller components are from Mexico and Canada, and that adds up.
Wranglers, are they anygood? A buddy had that other wrangler like model and it was the worst ever. I don't know many people who stick with their jeeps.
Toyota makes the tundra and Tacoma in Texas. Not sure about the list below bc I read a good article showing by part the most American truck and it was the tundra. Which is kinda funny/sad. But maybe what I saw was for different year models.

What's the most american made car/truck?
This list is from cars.com and is based in where the plant is, where the parts are from and how many Americans are employed at the factory.
So much for all american trucks...
Lets face it, the Ford Ranger is actually a car that looks like a truck

My Silverado 2500 HD has a sticker on the drivers door saying it was made in Michigan.
Look at the drivers doors, I think many American made cars have a sticker saying what state it was made in. That may be a UAE requirement, I think
Excellent, thank you. I'll put it to good use soon.

Wrangler is still 100% made in Toledo

Honestly though my toyota was the most reliable car I've ever had.
