The CCP is craft and dangerous. They are the greatest threat America has ever faced surpassing even the Soviet Union. The Soviets were dirty commies but they weren’t suicidal and they were more reasonable than China. The US and USSR could still sit down and talk like reasonable adult nations. Nuclear war was averted many times because of this. The Soviets weren’t stupid enough to hit the big red button either.
China on the other hand has a death wish. When it comes to diplomacy they’re a toddler throwing a tantrum whenever they don’t get what they want while making unreasonable demands all the time. At the same time they’re also equipped with dangerous toys like a small nuclear arsenal of their own. The Chinese can’t be trusted to be reasonable enough not to drop the bomb or to start WW3. China is a toddler with access to a nuclear arsenal
