Anyway, AMC and Chrysler have made jeeps in China for decades now. The whole story is fascinating because the CCP has consistently fucked everyone who tried to make Jeeps there - one company, who was a partner of Jeep, copied the entire truck and sold it under another name in China, fucking Jeep sales. I dimly recall someone, I think Wired Magazine, had a story how Jeep wanted to sell upgrade parts for Jeeps in China, and the CCP held their products on the docks for "issues", while CCP connected companies copied the parts and got them on the Chinese market first.
