I have to say it, the 90s is where all these millenials came of age and got their indoctrination in schools. Also, Political Correctness became a thing, which we're still dealing with even worse (btw, look at the Wikipedia article on Poltical Correct. Bizarrely then have a section on right-wing political Correctness, which makes zero sense at all. Conservatives laughed and made fun of political correctness). The foundation was also laid for all this LGBT stuff in the culture at large (as opposed to just fringe), using people's natural sympathy for AIDS as a means to normalize.
