They do, but thats not what happened here. Whatever happened to maintaining principles.

Let the guy have his pastor, then execute the bastard and let him stand before God and be judged. Letting someone have last rites before a planned execution is a good thing, and waiting around a bit longer for that execution ain't gunna hurt nobody.

This wasn't over Last Rights though. The right is weak because the Church is dead.

Did this scumbag wait for the woman's pastor to show up before he murdered her?

No? Then fuck him.

A lot of our elderly loved ones died alone in hospitals and nursing homes with no one being allowed in o comfort them during their final moments. So far, ACB has been a disappointment.

she Graduated from Notre Dame, dirty fuck lawyers knew to play the religion card on her and she bought it.

I thought she said the was going to be guided by the constitution and not her personal beliefs?

When you're through crying the blues about this murderer, read my response, above; the same applies to you.

Newsflash, criminals lose their rights through a thing called due process. Why do leftists always pick and choose what parts of the Constitution to pay attention to in order to criticise Conservatives? Because they are always wrong and need to decide what to ignore based on the point they're trying to force.

1
kanabiis 1 point ago +1 / -0

Lol no, criminals do not loose their rights, that is an insane statement. If that were true we would not need a Supreme Court to validate what is constitutional and what is not.

You are a lunatic

1
geotus3000 1 point ago +1 / -0

Lmfao, because prisoners can assemble in prison. You are insane.

1
kanabiis 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not every criminal is in prison, in fact the vast majority of people convicted of a crime are walking free. Still enjoying the rights all Americans possess.

You are a lunatic.

1
geotus3000 1 point ago +1 / -0

lmfao! Because prisoners have a right to bear arms. You are insane.

1
kanabiis 1 point ago +1 / -0

Most crimes are not felonies.

You people are building strawmen and sound stupid.

90% of the people convicted of crimes in the US do not spend a day behind bars.

I am not the insane person, you morons who do not know shit about criminal justice are.

I 100% agree. Sounds like Amy was the only one who did the right thing, but also for the right reasons, but people are mad because the Supreme Court pussed out on election litigation and now on its face Amy is breaking ranks with "conservative" judges.

Let the guy have his pastor, then fucking kill him as per our law so he can be stand before his God and be judged.

Lol Continue to think you know why the sane among us think this is an outrage.

If you were informed, you'd know that this is the latest scam among those on death row, and this guy, in particular, has tried every trick in the book since he was first condemned to die in the electric chair.

This worked because the state will NOT allow unauthorized personnel (today it's clergy, tomorrow it's Aunt Tillie.) inside the execution chamber. (Nor should they.) So this murderer will NOT be executed. Clergy can visit them, walk with them, and be front and center at the window in the observation room. That is reasonsble.

Thankfully, most here get it. The rest of you can go cry horseball tears at lefty sites, where they'll agree with you while they're laughing at you.

The ONLY injustice here is that it's taken 30 years to get to this point. And the only victim is the young woman he killed and her family.

This is why you always carry and never relax. The religious community is not your friend and hasn't been ever since they deemed the Gnostics as heretics.

Still a win in my opinion... I am all for the Death penalty. But - enjoy never eating steak again ... and living in a closet for the rest of your life. honestly, I would rather be executed.

Priests should be allowed to give a criminal one last chance to repent before they are executed. Its not like theyll go straight to heaven. You still need to atone for your sins before you get there. The state was incorrect in both prohibiting the pastor and cancelling the execution.

Dude, Freedom of Religion -- we get to have a pastor if the State is going to execute us. Barrett applied the Rule of Law and the Constitution to the presented facts and made the correct decision. We don't get to "pick and choose" which part of the Constitution we want enforced. This ain't a Chinese restaurant. Stop thinking like a leftie.

-3
StayhumanMe -3 points ago +4 / -7

You do realize it is better for the execution to not take place if the pastor isn't present? The constitution's rights matter including freedom of religion. Even a criminal is to have a representative of their faith at the hour of death.

You think that wouldn't spread to other contexts for christians?

Don't be so quick to have someone die in contrast to protecting access to religion.

6
SellTheSun 6 points ago +7 / -1

Huh??? Thousands of Christian's die every day all over the world without their pastors present. What does this have to do with religion? It's a stalling tactic.

The vast majority of people do not know the time and place of their death and die without their pastors present. This makes no sense.

1
mateus [S] 1 point ago +2 / -1

True. Maybe these bleeding hearts can let us know when s surgical team allows a pastor into the operating room.

And his pastor was allowed to be present, but not in the chamber.

Maybe these bleeding hearts can let us know when s surgical team allows a pastor into the operating room.

Exactly.

-3
20-guage -3 points ago +1 / -4

Those thousands of Christians aren't protected by the U.S. Constitution. (And we're not so sure we are here in the US anymore, either.)

-5
StayhumanMe -5 points ago +1 / -6

Wow. No shit. Literally speaking within the context of a known and expected death as in an execution or last rights at a hostpital.

4
mateus [S] 4 points ago +6 / -2

You're wrong. And DON'T preach to me.

He wants his pastor in the execution chamber, where no one other than the condemned and authorized personnel are allowed.

In addition, this is the latest tactic he used, and this one worked.

Educate yourself. Then continue to think that Breyer, Sotomayor, and the cigar-smoking dame give a rat's ass about freedom of religion.

StayhumanMe -2 points ago +2 / -4

u/#howdareyou

You are noooooob defensive LMFAO.

I was that preaching to you? Why don't YOU educate yourself on communication and comprehensive reading.

Did I point to Breyer or Sotomayor? Nope.

The main subject of your post was ABC. I was speaking about her possible perspective.

Your post implies that she had the same reasoning as them Dems. That probably isn't true as of yet.

Like why you mad.
