Citing concerns over the widespread proliferation of Covid-19 variants, Biden said he might have to prohibit vehicle and air traffic until the CDC and NIH were confident that currently available vaccinations had a proven efficacy against emerging strains, such as highly transmissible anomalies from the United Kingdom, Brazil, and South Africa.

  1. the NIH and CDC are not authority making bodies. they just do research, period. They have no place at the table in policymaking

  2. There are no such things as "new strains of Covid19" they don't exist. They are just at best completely separate things being lumped under the "muh covid" umbrella to make people think there's no hope of ever getting out of lockdown. And what if there are? We need to get past this idea that "more aggressive/easier to infect" = "you WILL catch it and die". More infectious does not mean it's more dangerous. Most mutations are crippling for the virus. They can infect easier but do less damage. We WANT more infections, because that leads to recovery and immunity.

  3. No, sorry Biden, you have ZERO authority to restrict travel to or from a state just like the local Governor has no power to deny entry to people based on what state they come from.
