Communism is a terrible thing and the after mass of it never goes away. What it did to Germany was there many many years after Hitler no longer was even alive. The hate and mistrust of the people lived on because some things are hard to let go of in a person’s life.

I lived in Germany shortly after the war and the Berlin Wall was still in place there. I saw three young College Students shot because they tried to break free from the wall just to have freedom.

Some things we forget in our lifetime; some things are burned into our mind so deeply we cannot forget. That memory is just such a mind set for me; I wished many times I could dismiss it but it refuses to go out from my memory. Two young men and a young girl about my age at the time; were shot down for wanting freedom more than their own lives. And now I watch everyday as here in America people are throwing their freedoms away.

I am very old now; too old to fight, too crippled to do much of anything but I will die defending my freedom. I will die defending any other American’s freedom also. Freedom is a very precious thing; and if lost; many never be recovered. One day; if we do take care of America, it will crash and burn.

It will take another Party; one that is founded on stronger values and has a leader like Trump. There is just such a Party possible but there must have been a reason for it before it could ever to be born. And that reason is now.

Our forefathers fought just these same enemies and won. We must do that also or we will go down in slavery to the Dimocratic Monkey Party. These people over this party are run by a man who has plenty of money, plenty of people who will sell their souls for that money, and they will not care what they must do to get that money; this they have proven over and over.

Do any of you alive today believe all this just started with the Trump election? No my friends it started before most of us were born. Maybe before our parents were even born; yes it was before that for sure.

You must understand; the race to destroy the good in mankind began long ago, and we must never forget that there will always be more that will fight on the side of evil than there are that fight for the good.

Most good people work hard to earn money to make their living and live good honest lives everyday with their families. But not so with the evil crowd. They have sold out to men like George Soro who is the spawn of Satan. He is super rich from stealing money from honest folks like us and he uses that money to buy off people like Pelosi, Biden, and Obama.

We can’t even begin to understand the mind of such evil that can go home every night and go to sleep and never care how many people they have been the cause of murdering that day. But these people have no soul. We can not fight against them in their arena; we don’t have the mind set to do that. But if there is one who can help, a leader; then we can defeat them and that man is Trump. God put him in the White House and the Dimocraps are SOOOOO afraid of him because they know he will defeat them.

We must pray for Trump every day that he is back over our country as our leader because prayer DOES change things.

You would be right. When we rely on ourselves he tends to give us what we think we want and when we turn to God and rely on Him, he gives us what we really need. Its the contrast between King Saul who was a selfish king and King David who was a man after God's own heart in spite of his personal failings. 1 Samuel 8:4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah,

5 and said to him, "Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations."

6 But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, "Give us a king to judge us." So Samuel prayed to the LORD.

7 And the LORD said to Samuel, "Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.

8 According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt, even to this day--with which they have forsaken Me and served other gods--so they are doing to you also.

9 Now therefore, heed their voice. However, you shall solemnly forewarn them, and show them the behavior of the king who will reign over them."

10 So Samuel told all the words of the LORD to the people who asked him for a king.

11 And he said, "This will be the behavior of the king who will reign over you: He will take your sons and appoint them for his own chariots and to be his horsemen, and some will run before his chariots.

12 He will appoint captains over his thousands and captains over his fifties, will set some to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and some to make his weapons of war and equipment for his chariots.

13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers, cooks, and bakers.

14 And he will take the best of your fields, your vineyards, and your olive groves, and give them to his servants.

15 He will take a tenth of your grain and your vintage, and give it to his officers and servants.

16 And he will take your male servants, your female servants, your finest young men, and your donkeys, and put them to his work.

17 He will take a tenth of your sheep. And you will be his servants.

18 And you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, and the LORD will not hear you in that day."

19 Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, "No, but we will have a king over us,

20 that we also may be like all the nations, and that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles."

21 And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he repeated them in the hearing of the LORD.

22 So the LORD said to Samuel, "Heed their voice, and make them a king." And Samuel said to the men of Israel, "Every man go to his city."

That's when God had Samuel anoint Saul to be king over the people. Before that time, the people were free. They only needed to follow the law that God laid out. afterwards they were subject to the whims of a king, whether he was a good king like David or a wicked one like Ahab and Jezebel.

Pretty sweet and relevant scripture. Thank you.

I kind of look at the relying on ourselves/God relationship differently, though. I believe that through knowledge of God one gains the foundation from which one can properly rely on oneself. I suppose the most relevant scripture for that would be the armor of God passage from Paul's letters to the churches

I heard a sermon illustration that relates well to the balance of waiting on God and doing.

If you've ever driven one of the old cars that didn't have power steering, you know how hard it can be to turn the wheel when it is sitting still. Once you get rolling, you don't even need power steering to turn it.

It takes a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, obedience to God's word in the Bible, communication through prayer, and movement on your part for God to lead you in His Will. That's when things get done God's way.

Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Without putting a lot of thought into it, the power steering analogy seems pretty accurate.

I think there are many paths, though, I didn't do any of that and still got a call... The verse Matthew 18:3 comes to mind

True. Becoming as a child is having the child like faith.

John 3:3-6 John 14:6 is why I say that your relationship with God is through Jesus Christ. Also Romans 6:23.

Enjoyed chatting.
