I'm frankly tired of all this front-line heroes bullshit. My mom's in an assisted living facility with dementia. I give the employees credit for their patience and ability to deal with some unpleasant aspects of caring for old people who are detached from reality. But they signed up for that. Most of the time they are sitting there watching TV with the residents.
Yes, the pandemic has made their job more complicated, and they have to wear masks all the time. But so does everyone else who works at just about any company in a State with an idiot Dem Governor, like mine.
When everyone from the Walmart cashier to the lady wiping apple sauce off my mom's chin is a hero, the word loses it's meaning. I guess that what a couple generations of participation trophies will do to society.

But if you call them heroes it ensures they never stand up to tell the world it's fake.
