Have a ten month old. Can't wait until he is older. Everytime he fusses I want to shove my head in a hydraulic press. He is way better than he was in the first 3 months, but I am really looking forward to him not being a baby. Not all babies are the same. I think mine might be more of a pain in the butt.
They are indeed quite different. My parents say I was super easy, my sister (2 years younger) was a bit more difficult, my brother (7 years younger) was horrible from birth to 12 or 13 (I remember very well how difficult, oh yes!) and my other sister (11 years younger) was a piece of cake, super easy-going baby, super simple to keep happy and healthy. I'm really looking forward to having my own kids soon. God willing, within a year or year and a half.
I hear you! I have a 1.5 year old. Don’t wish your time away. It goes fast enough on its own. Love them, and when they’re frustrating, love them harder. No doubt you already do this. Good luck, he’ll get more fun every day
I’m in Australia so this might not be available where you are, but I found homeopathy really worked (even though I know it’s scientifically impossible). Specifically a product called Calm made by Brauer, it was like a miracle. Plus if he’s 10 months, is he speaking yet? If he’s not speaking I strongly recommend you start using baby sign language. So much of baby’s and your frustration is because you can’t communicate, sign language will change your world. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
Wife has tried to get him going on sign language. He is maybe starting to ise some words, but is stubborn about sign language. He still doesn't crawl either. He started rolling to get around and now he is content with that. He may start walking before crawling. Lately, I think his issues are teething. That said, he doesn't fuss that often anymore, but occasuonally has a fussy day and it drives me nuts.
Great! Stick with the sign language, it takes a while to get going but once they start using it’s a game changer. And try homeopathy, it doesn’t work for everyone but it did for our family. He’ll be a teenager before you know it, believe me.
He was my best friend from the moment his mom got him out. The midwife held him up to his mom and he just stared at me. He has been enamored by me since. He watches very intently when I start ranting about politics. Things have gotten so much better since the 3 month mark. A little better all the time. He is mostly sleeping through the night now too.
