No, it's all forms of capitalism but you can make capitalism good and you can make it bad. There's nothing about capitalism that is inherently good or bad. It's like a gun. A man can use the gun for good or for evil... That is capitalism. It's a tool. Capitalism can be good or bad.

The thing about centrally planned vs. free markets is that in a centrally planned society you need everyone to be good. It centralizes power so much that evil can easily subvert good because all it needs to do is subvert 1 tiny area and it has full control. Communism in theory is a utopia to some but in practice it never is because it is easily corrupted.

Capitalism is decentralized and attempts to spread the power around directly to individuals. In this way, capitalism doesn't need everyone to be good because the decentralized nature creates a check and balance on evil. What we're seeing now in the USA is that evil has grown so rampant that despite capitalism's decentralized nature and therefore check and balance on evil, the evil has grown so strong that it has overpowered capitalism or close to.

But ultimately whether an economic system functions as ideal depends on the quality of the people within the economic system and the quality of our people has diminished significantly.

The reason the "not real communism" meme exists is because in practice due to how communism works, the "ideal" cannot ever exist because evil will never not exist.

So capitalism doesn't work in practice. Great. I'm not a communist, btw.

Capitalism without morality does not function, no. There's a reason our greatest philosophers and ancestors focused a lot of their effort on morality rather than economic system.

An economic system is just an economic system. A tool. Tools can be used for good or evil. It is morality that determines good and evil. An immoral society under capitalism will be immoral and the fact it is capitalist is irrelevant.

All I'm saying is that capitalism must be underpinned by morality because capitalism itself isn't enough to guide a society.
