I don't think Trump's lawyers have adequately address that issue. For example, the Michigan canvasser's family was threatened on the Zoom call.
This shouldn't be a what-about-ism, but instead shows the state of the political discourse in this country. Properly addressing the political violence which has divided this country would provide Trump's lawyers the ability to say the riot was a result of people being incredibly angry, and that his base had become tired of always being on the receiving end of that violence.
Don't worry, us Trump supporters get the same death threats... for simply existing.
