There are a lot of good lawyers that aren’t great orators. However, typically you leave those guys to the research and brief writing and get the charismatic speakers that are quick on their feet out in court. But he’s doing pretty good overall today, from a lay person’s perspective.
I kind of think the first day was particularly rough because this entire trial is such a fucking absolute pile of shit that they didn't even know how to approach the damn thing. They knew what they wanted to use for their defense, and clearly half of their defense is throwing the Democrats' own words back at them just from the last two days, but on the first day, really, what the fuck do you say?
