The US Congress doles out over 2 trillion dollars in a normal year. They doled out over 6 last year and are on pace to break that this year. You'd have to be an idiot to think that people who stand to get a lot of that money would EVER let someone who isn't a garbage shill human get into that office. The more money at stake the more corruption and nowhere involves more money than Congress.
