You don’t have to wear a mask. You can’t be arrested for it. People will just be dicks at certain establishments. But they let you know where to not shop.

Yup. I tell them I’m celebrating and when they say it’s required I’m like “okay” and continue about my day.

Last week someone said they use "the cop said it's OK" excuse and it seems to also work, because these NPCs will think 'oh the cop said it's fine, carry on'. But in CA you never know...

Yup. I don't wear masks either. Most places don't care. The ones that do care I simply walk out of and find an alternative.

I love and hate HEB. On one hand they have reasonable accommodations for those who can’t physically wear a mask- on the other they have diversity and inclusion programs.

And they pulled my pillow from their shelves and pushed for vote by mail.

You can be fined. And you can be arrested for not paying the fine.

This is not true. Abbott actually clearly stated that we cannot be fined.

They can't fine you. Abbott made that clear.

My bad I was thinking about the towns that tried to enforce lockdowns after he said not to. But for masks, no they can't fine you for first time violations. They can only give you a written or verbal warning for that. https://guides.sll.texas.gov/covid-19/mask-laws#s-lg-box-wrapper-28569276

No sheriff has issued a fine. I’ve had them called on my 7x since June in three different Texas counties.
