We are NOT a Democracy, and we got stop letting them get away with saying that. They keep saying it because they are trying to force it to be true.

Also even suggesting a secret ballot for an Impeachment vote is shady af. They aren't even trying to hide it because nobody is paying attention anymore.

Thank you. I only had to scroll down to the 2nd post to find someone pointing out this very important truth. This site is easily the most based I've ever been on.

I've been going to Constitutional study groups and the reasons why we are a Republic are very important. We need to make getting this information back into the public's awareness a priority.

They aren't trying to hide it because they are behind a wall of national guard. They gotta leave at some point.

It's even funnier than they keep claiming we are a Democracy. That article basically stated this:

"We are a Democracy, hence what the Constitution states does not matter".

Also the nature of impeachment is a legal one, very obviously, the Constitution was used to say they have the legal right to impeach but when it gets in the way, they ignore the same document.

Kinda wild to see tyranny come to America like this, rigged elections, troops surrounding the capital and made up laws to go after private citizens.

They keep saying it because they want to put you in a position where your advocating against democracy.. sorry but America is essentially a democracy even if it has an electoral system to vote for the president. we elect our Senators through democracy. We elect our House of Representatives through democracy. And each state elects it's electoral votes through democracy.. Democrats keep pushing it because they want you to take the other side.. like it or not you still have to convince a large percentage of the American people to vote for your party.. and it looks really bad to them when you have an entire political party saying that we SHOULDN'T support democrac I don't care what bullshit talking points you think you have to justify why you don't like democracy. People don't want to hear you say that you don't like democracy. And if you say that they're not going to vote for you. and even if you don't think America is a democracy you still need people to vote for yo

Yeah America has never been a democracy fully {period} {period} but politicians would at least give lip service to it and as many others have written it's actually disturbing that the GOP is no longer even so much as giving lip service to the idea of democracy {period} they have outright abandoned even the pretense of pretending that they support it {period} {period} they're no longer even trying to win over the majority of the American people {period} the GOP is officially trying to win elections with a minority of suppo

They're not even pretending they've abandoned any strategy to even try to win over more than 50%..

So what? We have a better system than an actual Democracy. We took the good part and dropped the rest.

The United States of America is a Constitutional Republic. It was set up that way on purpose by our founders. I can't think of a better position to be in than the same position as our founders.

Unfortunately for you: 50 users in the_donald is not enough to win Elections

So u can feel free to set yourself up as the party that hates democracy

And the majority of amerocans will be free to vote against u

That's how the free market works.. when you decide to provide a product that people don't want they won't go for that produ

I am against a democracy though. Democracy is a terrible system where smart, competent people are ruled by idiots because there are far more retards than there are smart people. Mob rule is not a system you want, and don't pretend like it is.

"secret ballot"

With a secret ballot, the Dems can switch votes and alter the outcome of the results. That's what they did in the USSR and Communist China.

The impeachment process should not be taken lightly. Constituents deserve to know how their representatives and senators voted.

Keep it up....people are getting more pissed off every day justice is delayed. No Republican in their right mind would vote to convict.

I'll be happy enough if the Republican party just had the balls to kick him out. He's not a republican. He never votes for actual Republican and conservative things. just the things that lobbyists pay him to vote for.. he marched with blm.. he's a fucking Democrat and he should be kicked out of the Republican Party..

How about we investigate Cofer Black's Burisma involvement and rid ourselves of Romney once and for all?

Yea. Simple majorities are not used on a lot of things for a very, very good reason. A major decision with a very narrow split is bound to cause a lot of issues, more so when stakes are high or the outcome extreme. 51 people voted for the suicide of all 100. 51 people voted for the robbery of the 49. 51 people voted for a war to be fought by all 100. The fact they managed to VOTE on the constitutionality of this sham trial is itself a unjustifiable act as they are the only body capable of introducing possible changes to it - why then do they also get to determine how it applies and by only a majority vote of the house rather than the 34 state majority needed to implement the change? And VERY major things should probably never be voted on (or even considered for a change/vote) to begin with!

The "virtue" of democracy has been overly promoted for generations and thought of as an inviable good to the point damn near everyone (almost world wide!) has been conditioned to think any checks, balances or brakes on it, even where it was never applied before, is thusly a good thing, too. Good people will continue to fall for that false premise and march onwards towards destruction. Our descendants will look back and ask "Why?" Assuming we are lucky enough to not live to see it ourselves.
