I have been with Bank of America for almost 15 years now, but after seeing them hand over all their customer data to the FBI to track down protestors from 1/6, I am ready to stop doing business with them.
The issue is, almost all the major banks seem to be actively against my values. JP Morgan Chase have started closing accounts of conservatives. Citi bank is forcing gun stores not to sell certain magazines
Can anyone recommend a based bank I could start using?
Good idea. It’s unfortunate, but it looks like I may have to sacrifice convenience for upholding my values.
Have you seen any news of credit unions engaging in that un-American behavior? I am concerned they still may be closing accounts, etc, but it may just not make the news because it affects fewer people.
Not that I've heard of. A credit union is owned by its members and are non profit so it would be a bad idea for the elected members to go against the people that elect them and pay them. They arnt really politicians so they actually work for the people. You never know if that could change with subversion in these crazy times though
