There’s no way he stays in office through the SOTU speech 2022, right? He’s not capable of giving a 90 minute speech to a joint session of congress at 9pm. They must have a plan to move him out before then.

I just assumed that he would use COVID as an excuse to give it from the Oval Office (where it will be prerecorded and edited) and Kamala would be the one giving the first one in the actual chamber.

A lot of people think they are waiting until 2023 to get Biden out of there so Kamala can still run in 2028 if she wins in 2024. Any earlier than January 21st, 2023, and she can only run once.

Not legitimately, but apparently that doesn't matter.

There's nothing saying the speech has to be 90 minutes. And if you watch Barry or Bush Jr.s speeches most of it is them pausing for applause. Trump spent most of his speeches shouting out great Americans, which is something most of Congress won't applaud, so he was unique in talking so long.

They'll prop Biden up for a 30 minute speech they stretch to an hour with applause.
