Just recently watched a couple John Carpenter movies for the first time. They were made before I was even born and not really popular so I missed them for so long.
The Thing was great on so many levels, and I guess you could say the overall message is you never know who you can really trust.
They Live is a fucking documentary. I was blown away by this movie since I just watched it a couple months ago. Everything was so on point, stuff like that alley scene where the lower class is literally beating the shit out of eachother. It was cheesy as hell but the message couldn't have been more on point.
This should be pinned, its so accurate.
Also: if you aren't familiar with any of the fictional works above are, you should consume them as soon as possible.
