It could be fixed within a few years if the right people were killed and the right people put in charge, but there's no realistic scenario besides a military coup where that happens. A full-scale civil war would result in foreign military intervention. If the crooks in DC looked like they could actually fall, China and probably half of the EU would be here within 24 hours to assist on the justification that they can't let the USA's nuclear weapons fall into the hands of "white supremacists."
So the only way it happens is if the government is deposed and replaced within a day or two, which is only realistically happening if the military does it.
Which is why Biden's new DoD stooge, fresh off retirement after arming ISIS, is making purging patriots from the military priority #1.
This guy gets it. That whole "behind every blade of grass" thing works for advantage when were fighting amongst ourselves or the Imperial Japanese Army.

Hell, might as well make it where any death involving any item, is the responsibility of the company who made said item. You get killed by a Serta mattress? Serta is responsible.

It's similar to the "my body, my choice" is only ever entertained when it comes to killing a child. "The company is liable" is only ever going to be held up against gun and ammo manufacturers.
But isn't there precedent when they tried to sue Remington or whomever for sandy hook? The precedent being that it can't happen?
PLCAA - Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, is what currently protects arms manufacturers from being sued for 99% of cases. Biden plans to repeal that act and make it viable to go directly after the weapons manufacturers.
Also killing that business in the process, the commercial weapons market in the US is huge, this would make the oil pipe business look like a small time cut. Make no mistake democrats are going hard to remove guns from citizens hands.
Which makes you wonder if that happens, could I sue Chevy, apple, and Jack Daniels for a drunk driver who was texting that crashed into and killed my daughter?

Slowing down the background check processing is another way to “ban” guns without actually banning them. Also imposing a license fee per gun which requires regular updating. Canada does this is and even with legal guns it limits how many a person wants to own.
South Africa discovered you don’t need to ban something to get what you want. Just regulate the hell out of it.
