It was a lofty thought to think we could fix our government, and the dream was hoping to see these hate mongers have to choke on their lies and one day admit "orange man wasn't that bad". But the world is what it is. I think for many of us we became too invested in the Trump movement and gave up on our own battles in the culture war. There is still a strong feeling towards American exceptionalism and many of us will never let that die, or be deterred by labelings of being "toxic".
Trump is doing what he has to do for this country and lay low. He was a shield the left used to deflect introspection from their own insanity. Their hate for orange man prevented them from seeing how ridiculous they had become, and how insane our leaders were for this lockdown. It's unfortunate, but this is how things will have to be. There will be no great victory, now monumental comeuppance of the left.
We're going to have to fight long and hard to restore sanity to the world and no one will be held accountable for all this horse shit in spectacular fashion, at least not in the short term. The important thing is the fight goes on and more join the battle every day.
