100% agree, paper market is the problem. the downside to physical is the premium right now. Many are converting cash to metal as they are bearish on the dollar - physical is great to hold wealth through inflationary periods that will be coming when the world gets sick of our "money printers go brrrrrrrr" policy. It is not going to bring meme stonks type gains - it won't go to zero either.
Paper silver and other heavy metals have been manipulating the markets for ever. Most of the dealers will not cough up real silver in exchange, not even when they are sued. Duetchebank just got hammered in the courts for manipulating the market with fake paper silver and gold.
Check out the wallstreetsilver sub - spun off of WSB after the anti-silver propaganda. Lots of good info.
Short story is that silver has been manipulated for a long time, and the big SLV fund is allegedly “paper” in that they have nowhere near as much physical as they claim - just selling shares to drive/keep silver prices down artificially. A growing movement is trying to call their bluff. PSLV is one of the legit funds that backs every share with real silver.
The 'squeeze' silver narrative was bullshit but you should own silver (real physical silver in your possession) probably 100-200 ounces at least for if an when hyper inflation kicks in and or bank holidays take effect.
Buy actual silver, not that bullshit SLV futures.

Whatever you do, never buy from evil bay- as much as 50% tested fake from china. Even slabbed collector coins.

Other way around.
Which one is a bigger market, and which one has real long term value?
