My husband and I are thinking of moving from NY to S Dakota. Possibly the Rapid City area. We are in our 60s. Does anyone live there? What is it like? Taking a vacation out that way this summer. This is my first post. I have really been enjoying this site and finally made an account.

When we were planning our exit From PDSRNJ, we eliminated Dakotas/Montana because Mrs would not have tolerated the winter conditions.
That said, avoid the Ski Resort areas —- that is where the Leftwaffe congregates.

Torn between NH and FL. Greatly prefer NH, but FL has more affordable real estate.
FL property is going up up up! High demand, low inventory... they cannot build fast enough.
