My main goal is to educate people on the true history of the Confederacy. I am the Ohio Division Adjutant of the SCV (Sons of Confederate Veterans), a descendant of Robert E. Lee and many other Confederate soldiers. The South was NOT fighting for slavery. They were fighting a tyrannical government (taxes, tariffs, and state rights) similar to what we are dealing with today. Less than 4 percent of people in the South owned slaves. And there was more freed blacks in the South than there was in the North. The Confederacy was the American Revolution 2.0 - They were defending the constitution and protecting their families and land from invasion. You will find no greater Patriots than the brave Confederate Soldiers. This is NOT what they teach in liberal run schools. That is the yankee lies. History was re-written by the victors of the war. I recommend getting the book "Defend Dixie". Its short, to the point, and full of facts and sources.

Something, I find very interesting about the south is that Slavery was on the way out due to economics, technological process was making it more expensive to keep and feed slaves, who were becoming less and less efficient and more dangerous to hold onto to. Slave revolts were commonplace and required an owner to be on constant guard that the slaves might band together take a bunch of weapons and start shooting. Compared to the economic gains, cost-benefit analysis shows that it was close to reaching the tipping point where it was more effective to hire blacks for cheap and not deal with revolt and allow them to be free than be slaves. Economically the south was falling behind the north who had invested much more heavily in industry and infrastructure.

Actually this is incorrect. Slavery was on its way out because cotton was too challenging to produce. It took days to separate the seed from the cotton (don't know if you've ever picked cotton....I have). Then came the cotton gin, that made it economical to have thousands of slaves. They pick the cotton and it takes minutes to separate the seeds enabling you to sell thousands of pounds in a day as opposed to hundreds in a month.
