I know. It was hard. But if we won't even take a stand with these censorious assholes, and we let them continue spying on and censoring us, then where exactly will we armchair warriors take a stand?

So far, in 5 days, I've persuaded 13 of my friends to create a Telegram account and they all love it.

Take the plunge.

Fuck Zuck. Fuck Facebook. Take a stand for free speech. Don't let the CIA/FBI/NSA/DOJ/IRS watch your life.

I got rid of everything after election day. I don’t even use Amazon anymore.I don’t go to Walmart anymore. I am a grandmother and I bought no Christmas presents! I threw away two Alexa devices, Cancel the Amazon Prime, cancelled hulu, taped over my Ring Device.I cancelled Netflix last July. Got me proton email, dumped my Gmail!

I thought there was a gap TV thing being offered but I can’t find it on the Gab site! I am in great hopes that Andrew Torba or Elon Musk will start a cell phone company. I want to get rid of android and apple from the American people and they can keep their Covid trackers!

Very well done, you have more courage that most! I'm an expat living in the Philippines, so "giving up" a lot of these things was easy.

Getting rid of Google and Apple means getting rid of your smartphone. Very tough decision, and hopefully there will be an alternative soon.

Same for MasterCard, VISA, PayPal.

Getting rid of Amazon prime and not using Amazon has saved me so much fucking money it is awesome! Never did social media but just joined gab so we will see how that goes.

How do you save money by not shopping prime? Overspending out of convenience?

I'm very frugal and amazon had the cheapest prices for almost anything I needed.

Fuck amazon but they definitely saved me money

Cause I was buying a bunch of shit I didn’t need, the wife was also on my account. We had an Amazon truck at my house every day for like a year... I had always been frugal and not overly materialistic until I got Amazon prime 3 years ago, trying to get back to those roots.

You can de-Google an Android phone and still have a lot of good features. You don't have Siri or Google Maps but I have found ways around that. People are writing apps every day and putting them up on F-Droid. Check it out. https://www.androidpolice.com/2020/06/09/install-use-custom-rom-no-google-apps/

You can use a Linux phone, as for conservative entertainment, I’d recommend KlowdTV. These guys are BASED!

Is klowdtv like plutoTV?

PolishBaldEagle 5 points ago +5 / -0

I’d compare it closer to something like sling... Pluto is free versions of certain channels dedicated to Pluto. KlowdTV is more like “cutting the cord” but having a limited selection. The one I do is $2.50/mo which includes OANN. And if you’re military, it’s free

Xtrix has everything ...all the latest movies and tv show series from all streaming services all for about $ 120 per year

Gab TV is coming, according to Torba, but not quite here yet. I don't know much about the platform. Seems like there's some open standard that lets a group build sort of a roll-your-own Roku or Amazon Fire-type device.
