I know. It was hard. But if we won't even take a stand with these censorious assholes, and we let them continue spying on and censoring us, then where exactly will we armchair warriors take a stand?

So far, in 5 days, I've persuaded 13 of my friends to create a Telegram account and they all love it.

Take the plunge.

Fuck Zuck. Fuck Facebook. Take a stand for free speech. Don't let the CIA/FBI/NSA/DOJ/IRS watch your life.

Do you work in IT? Because I do... servers around the world work by mirroring each other’s data continuously that way people have access to their data faster and also offers redundancy... your data is scattered across multiple drives and multiple servers. These servers eventually sync, so if you delete something, eventually, when its all synced, the data gets deleted... UNLESS!! Someone is ACTIVELY saving and holding on to YOUR data in particular. Now, that being said, I wouldn’t put it past FB if they’re actively saving user data for the reason to sell off that content. But at the same time, I don’t think they’re saving every single persons photos and storing it permanently. If anything, they probably have a 2-3 year hold on redundant data, so eventually things will be deleted

Yes, I have had for 17 years.

Facebook doesn’t delete data, ffs they even admitted to create “blank” profiles for people browsing webs that load any FB API if they aren’t logged in. The company is a data hoarder.
