He only did that because he NEEDED the US and UK. He needed to split the German forces and attention to survive.

He didn't do it because he wanted to get rid of Germany because they're evil, he did it to save his own ass.

Also, Hitler HATED Stalin and he HATED communism. He had a very low opinion of Stalin in particular. Stalin though, he was alright with Hitler. He didn't mind him.
