Yes, it might not be censoring American topics, right now, like FB or Twitter but it doesn’t mean they won’t. Do not share sensitive information in Telegram.

Use either Signal, which is from a company on California (that is at least binded by the same legal system as you) and uses full encryption by default (meaning they can’t see your info even if they wanted), keep using Whatsapp (which shares some data with FB but has encryption by default), or use “secret chats” in Telegram but the company is virtually not suable.

Don’t rely on “I will delete the info later”, it does nothing in most platforms.
