The fleet was going downhill when I exited in the mid-90's and it has just gotten worse. Between celebrating some dyke getting her kiss when she returned from deployment, to running into ships in the middle of the ocean, and now this shit. Thank God the ships can practically fight and navigate for themselves and only need the meat to keep it clean.
Seriously. The meat is required to refuel and keep the ship functioning. They still have the meat standing watch for 2 reasons: someone to blame if it goes bad and without watch standing, the meat gets bored. And bored meat is dangerous meat. Lock a sailor in a room with a steel ball and come back in an hour; he will either eat it, break it, fuck it, or lose it. That is the nature of meat.
