You're right re England. Metro is a free newspaper in London, given away at train stations etc. Not really a tabloid, but pretty light-weight stuff. Telegraph is a paid-for newspaper, more right-leaning and substantial.
In the UK about 1/7th of health staff are a Third Worlder with a stethoscope around them.
If you turn up to a hospital with non-critical issues and have a sexist, racist or homophobic comment/request they can just throw you out. Good luck asking for a non-Third-Worlder, or a woman without a moustache to examine your cervix.
