Are they suddenly calling witnesses TODAY? Or are they going to delay and give each side time to discover/“train” those witnesses?

They just backtracked and decided to proceed without witnesses.

Trump’s team had most of the impeachment managers, Pelosi, and Bower on their list of witnesses, which might have something to do with the backpedal.
