They already removed her from the season 2 art in November. Replaced her with Asohka Tano

There was some speculation originally that that was purely a marketing move to start promoting the Ahsoka series.

In hindsight there's some speculation that Gina knew she was quietly axed back in November and Disney was going to keep it quiet but somebody leaked the news... just before quarterly earnings...
