I don't blame you. I have been playing on and off for some 40 years and the quality of games is declining right now. It's hard to find anything creative and unique anymore, much less not inundated with social justice crap.
On top of that gaming companies are getting more predatory every day and offering less quality product for more money. They are also encouraging a cancel culture.
Videogames are either becoming, or are now another media outlet designed to shape peoples beliefs to some extent, and all I want is some entertainment.
On the good side, for the most part in youtube comments I see the vast majority of people are sick and fed up and very vocal about all the stupid woke shit, and they don't want nor like it.
indeed, I would play an ultra right wing crazy conspiracy game at this point just to get an opposing viewpoint for me to digest and critique at my leisure, y'know, for learning purposes. not to combat the far left or anything, no no, can't have that :p
I feel like you just don't know where the good games are, then!
Feel free to respond or PM me if you want my recommendations, though to be fair most of the games I play are thoroughly indie and tend to be quite rough around the edges.
no no, see my other comment, indie games are a great last bastion of true creativity for the most part. If you want to recommend some, just do it, I will take them into consideration. Even if I end up not liking them, this is what friendly conversation is all about.
RimWorld is really quite good; the guy that made it also wrote a book on game design that I would consider the best text on the subject. He was also targeted by the "journalists" multiple times for various random nonsense, so I don't think he's any ally to them. And, of course, RimWorld is an absolutely fantastic game, the kind that you look up and it's 5AM two days later when you just sat down to play ten minutes...
Hell Let Loose is a realism-focused WWII shooter in early access. Currently, it only has Western Front content, however Eastern Front is a short ways down the pipeline, and they are not closed to adding more down the road. It strikes a good balance between realism and fun, I would say, and the most comparable games might be Squad, Post Scriptum, and others like that. Matches (100% multiplayer) are 100 players in teams of ~50/50; communication is vital (and entertaining), the game is thoroughly immersive, and the maps are painstakingly created off of real locations (for example, Carentan in Normandy). I personally like it a lot; it's the kind of game that's less about winning and more about enjoying it, which is something a lot of FPS games lack, in my opinion. I can't say anything about the based-ness of the devs (or lack thereof), but I will say I didn't see any pro-BLM messages all over the announcements and such like I saw with many triple A games this summer, and they're not afraid to depict WWII (including, though the resolution is too low to FULLY make out, swastikas on equipment where warranted) as per general history, unlike a certain franchise in which you have women with robot arms jumping around and katana slicing people...
Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is a fun game to sit back and goof around with; it's borderline complete and has a lot of fun to be offered. I can't really describe it in a way that does it justice, I'd say just look it up and see what I mean.
Project Wingman is a recently-released arcade-style air combat game, set in a post-Yellowstone world. It is singleplayer only, but it has an excellent campaign and I believe full VR support if that's your kind of thing. Do note, it is arcade style and not flight simulator; it's about fast-paced action combat. I found the plot pretty interesting all around, as the primary enemy is basically the post-apocalyptic world's reformed UN crossed with the Deep State, and you assist a sort of new "American Revolution" in everything but name, more or less. There are also comments about "going against the new world order" and such which make me wonder if the devs are actually super based. Either way, really fun game; it's spiritually an Ace Combat game, if you're familiar with that franchise, and plays very similarly. (I would recommend Ace Combat 7 as well, though it's not really an Indie game)
The Forest is very good and has a sequel coming out soon, Sons of The Forest; it's a bit graphic and fairly sadistic in some senses, though, so if you're not up for what can best be described as "grim" plot (featuring extensive cannibalism, among other things) I'd say pass on that one. It's a well made game, though, and possibly one of the best survival-horror games in terms of making me (and the friend I played it with) repeatedly crap ourselves and such.
Teardown is a fairly recent release, in early access, that is based on what can best be described as a "game-changing" engine; extremely detailed voxel engine in which the entire environment is modeled with decent to good physics and mostly destructible. To feature this engine, the game itself has many gamemodes, though the prominent is a mixture between demolition worker and heist-planner. It has good puzzle aspects, and is incredibly satisfying. Also, that kind of engine has tons of potential, and puts anything being used in Triple A today to absolute shame.
Brick Rigs is a very fun game that can best be described as a "LEGO Simulator"; ever want to make LEGO cars, planes, trains, or space ships (and boats, with mods) and drive them with fairly decent physics? Also, guns, flamethrowers, explosives, servos, and some basic logic programming stuff means you can basically make whatever you want, and to top it off guns have some decent penetration physics and the likes, meaning you can actually make like, tanks and have tank battles with friends. It's pretty good, but development is slow because there is only one developer and he has other jobs/schooling (I can't remember which).
There's others I can give, but that's a pretty good lineup right there, and it's a pretty wide variety offered, too. Let me know what you think (or if you want more suggestions)!
Oh wow I wasn't expecting this level of detailed response, thank you so much! No further info is needed, you've given me many things to investigate. But if you want to, feel free!
Some of these sound interesting as hell, I'll definitely at the very least youtube them and see if I like them for purchase.
thank you, it is just my personal take on it at the moment, not everyone has to agree with it. thankfully indie gaming companies are still bastions of creativity and entertainment, but it requires effort to find the good ones in the sea of cash grabs, or at least thats how I see it. you can even interact with some games devs and submit ideas that eventually make it into the game in some cases, true interaction without all the corporate greed, but these are few and far between. much more chance to alpha/beta test too, it can be rewarding.
Probably because of the chances that Trump might not end up being the leader of this whole thing, or at least that it's somewhat bigger than just Trump now. Trump was the best president ever (and still is, technically), but until 2022 I think most of us are just focusing on reversing the progressing voter fraud until the elections are fair again. There's a lot of focus on state governors right now as well.
Support “Guns N Gadgets” a very up to the minute 2a news specialist. He’s on the commie tube. Idk where else he is but he needs to be here. He is nails I tell you, nails!

Sounds like a good Market opportunity.

Smart analysis Fren. Spot on in every metric

Play DayZ. It is the best post apocalyptic open world survival game on pc. No bots. No Social Justice junk. Just real people.
dayz bored me. tried it in 2009. I much prefer stalker over dayz.
that said, it was very early in its development back then, very ... devoid of people, and even zombies sometimes.
also all the people seemed to be nothing but griefers.
in it's defense the ARMA mods did make it looks absolutely beautiful.
Look fat32, here's the deal.
He was bold. That’s what I miss most.
