They weren't loyal to the men they were supposed to be loyal to, and all their beauty has faded. They all look miserable and lonely, and they never stop gossipping about their friends.
The only thing they have left is the house they practically stole from their man after they cut ties.
These ladies were fooled thinking a career was much more beneficial to them, when really marrying young and child rearing provides the best life.
Ding ding ding. Women in the work force was a huge blow to our society. A seemingly irreversible unrecoverable blow because you can hardly talk about it.
Society/culture makes cyclical moves, or maybe a snakelike river would be more apt. We just saw the pendulum swing full on and stop short of full commie dystopia, which is the equal and opposite reaction of the conservative Christian overbearance that preceded it. Now the kids who's music got cancelled by conservatives are cancelling conservatives. It will swing back and that will be our chance to right some wrongs and hopefully not piss off our kids so badly that they burn our castle down.
The “Christian conservatives” depicted as a majority have likely never been a true majority, unless for a short short while. The American church has been infiltrated with shenanigans for a loooong time.
God wants you to live your “best life now, job of your dreams, make you happy”???? He wants you saved.
The apostles died (murdered), all but one, for what they experienced through Jesus Christ and he tells his disciples to be prepared to do the same. America has gone the way all great nations go in that it became too fat with prosperity, including its church.
The point of Christianity is you are going to die. You are going to face a holy judge, for your sins. You are not innocent. I am not innocent. No man is.
The wages of sin is death. You simply can not repay for your righteousness is as filthy rags to a holy God.
God so loved the world that he have his only begotten son so all who believe on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
Jesus took your sins on the cross, so if you simply believe in His good works, not your own, for salvation, you may live. He died and rose on the third day and conquered death. Repent and believe in Jesus, find out who he really is and beware the false preacher. The gospel is “good news” for a reason.
Judgement is coming. Believe in His son.
